Eric Anderson

Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner- Medication Management

About Eric Anderson

I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care through a patient-centered and collaborative approach. I bring more than six years of acute psychiatric nursing experience caring for individuals across the lifespan and working with a range of conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar, psychotic, and substance use disorders. My group emphasizes thoughtful assessment, clear communication, individualized holistic treatment planning, and helping clients feel supported throughout their care.

Originally from a performing arts background, I found my calling in nursing after witnessing the profound impact nurses had while caring for my grandfather during his struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. After several years working in medical-surgical nursing, I discovered psychiatry and knew I had found the field where I could make the greatest difference.

I completed my undergraduate training at New York University’s Rory Meyers College of Nursing and earned my master’s degree from Western Connecticut State University. My advanced clinical training included rotations at Connecticut Valley Hospital, Danbury Hospital, and Waterbury Hospital, where I gained experience in assessment, diagnosis, stabilization, and treatment planning across diverse psychiatric settings.

I know reaching out for help can feel like a big step. My goal is to create a comfortable, judgment-free space where we can work together toward improved mental health, greater balance, and a life that feels more manageable and fulfilling.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, supporting the arts, and maintaining balance through lifelong learning and personal growth.

She provides comprehensive psychiatric assessment, medication management, psychotherapy, and evidence-based pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment for concerns including mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, trauma-related concerns, and substance use. Her group welcomes caregivers, students, working professionals, neurodivergent individuals, those navigating life transitions, individuals healing from relational or family trauma, and people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Lelana’s passion for becoming a provider grew from a desire to offer the kind of care she valued and hoped to experience herself—care where individuals feel seen and understood from the very beginning.
